Heidi Caillard studied fine Art in Basel Switzerland and then moved to the south of France to open a small pottery workshop. One of her clients became her husband and they started the company we know today from a barn they renovated. The guinea fowl were born of Heidi’s imagination from the poultry present in the garden. The idea of making a seductive stylized sculpture came naturally, but the realization required long days of roughing, construction, deconstruction ... to get the perfect shape. The presence at the International Salon de Deco in Paris and the many articles in the press made a world-wide reputation for this small ceramic workshop.

Today there’s a team to serve and sustain the activity. The Guinea Hens are exclusively available in Chicago at Crosell & Co. Come in - see the selection in person and we can also show all the colors available to order.
